It will be designed by internationally respected architects Allies & Morrison and will join a long list of world-famous structures on London’s South Bank.

The Vauxhall Nine Elms and Battersea (VNEB) Opportunity Area is a 227-hectare riverside neighborhood is by far the largest regeneration zone in central London. It comprises a new residential tower cluster, the rebuilding of Battersea Power Station, and a new US Embassy.

Together with considerable upgrades to local infrastructure, new public squares, parks, and footpaths are being constructed. The project is focused on two main areas: the Nine Elms Lane and the Battersea Power Station development. The Nine Elms Lane area is being transformed into a new business and residential district with the construction of around 20,000 new homes, new offices, shops, restaurants, and public spaces. It has also improved the transport links in the area, with new underground stations in 25 years and a river bus pier being built to provide easy access to central London and beyond. The Northern line expansion is opened in September 2021, with two new Zone 1 Tube stations at Nine Elms and Battersea Power Station. This extension established a shorter journey to Westminster, West End, the City, Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
