From the high, elevated area just outside the city of London, Tower Hill has a blend of ancient and modern architecture that is interesting to look at. The Tower of London is a strong symbol of England's history in the Middle Ages. Its ancient walls have many stories about kings, detainees, and people being kept in prisons. The skyline of Tower Hill has undergone a transformation with new steel and glass skyscrapers, replicating a modern place for people to come and work. In addition, the Tower Millenium Pier, which is close to the famous Tower Bridge, serves as a central location for riverboat services used by commuters.
