Finsbury Park area guide

Finsbury Park: victorian elegance meets modern culture

Finsbury is an area that successfully combines modern culture with Victorian elegance. The area's heritage of historic structures is replicated in the old red-brick Victorian dwellings close to the Grade II park. After 150 years of existence, the park has seen significant changes. It now features tennis courts and is the venue of a yearly music festival.

Regeneration and reconstruction

The success of the local Premiership soccer team, Arsenal, has sparked a wave of growth, turning the area into a thriving centre. Known as City North now, earlier as Finsbury Park Station, it has seen quite a lot of changes and transformations, attracting a lot of attention as a result. Additionally, Stroud Green Road and Blackstock Road consist of several shops, restaurants, and gastropubs, which add to the lively atmosphere of the area.

New streets

Another important area of Finsbury Park is the meeting of Seven Sisters and Green Lane. Woodberry Down makes it to one of London's biggest building projects and has a view of the East and West reservoirs. With time, the reservoirs have been transformed into a natural sphere and a place for water activities, making the area even more attractive.

Excellent travel routes

Finsbury Park's bustling transportation centre makes it an easy travel gateway within London and to other places. Located within two steps from the Eurostar terminal at the Kings Cross at St. Pancras, it is an important stop on the Great Northern Mainline route to Moorgate (City), Stansted Airport, and Cambridge University. In addition, Finsbury makes for a perfect place for both commuters and travellers, having a straight way from Picadilly Line to the West End.

With a mix of vintage charm and modern flair, Finsbury Park stands as an enjoyable place to experience.
